Three Egyptian men living in Croatia went missing after they went swimming in the Sava River, near Zagreb, on Sunday, July 19, 2026. A friend reported them missing the following day after he realized they had not returned.

Croatian police, firefighters and rescue services launched a search of the river and surrounding area. On Tuesday, July 21, police officers found and recovered two bodies, while firefighters later recovered the third.
