The Arabic Reporter is a news title published by Next MENA Media Group. This page sets out the rules we work by; they apply to everything published on this site.
Editorial responsibility
Our newsroom at The Arabic Reporter selects, prepares and reviews our stories. News is published under the byline “The Arabic Reporter Newsroom”, and the group takes full editorial responsibility for it.
Sources and verification
- We rely on official sources, news agencies, published documents and on-the-record statements.
- We aim to confirm every material fact with two independent sources and name the source in the text.
- We make clear the difference between confirmed facts and single-source claims.
News and opinion
Opinion pieces run in a separate section under the author’s name. They reflect the author’s view, not necessarily that of The Arabic Reporter.
Independence and sponsored content
Advertisers have no say over our coverage. Any sponsored or third-party content is clearly labelled “Sponsored” or “Opinion”.
Use of AI tools
We may use AI tools to help draft, translate or summarise stories from documented sources. An editor reviews every article before it is published; the newsroom remains responsible for everything we publish and corrects errors under our corrections policy.
Images
We use freely licensed images (Wikimedia Commons and similar) with source and licence credited, or illustrations labelled as such.
Corrections and contact
We correct mistakes quickly and openly; see our corrections policy. Contact the newsroom at contact@thenextmena.com.
