Scheffler ‘couldn’t care less’ about being British Open favorite

Scottie Scheffler has made it clear that he is indifferent to being labeled the favorite for the 2025 British Open at Royal Portrush. Despite being the betting favorite at +550, Scheffler emphasized that he does not care about the odds or rankings, preferring to focus on his own game and preparation. He stated, "I don't care about being the favorite. I don't care about the odds. I'm just here to play my best golf."

Scheffler's approach reflects a mindset that prioritizes personal performance over external expectations. He has consistently demonstrated this focus throughout his career, maintaining a strong mental game and composure under pressure. As the world number one, Scheffler's dedication to his craft and his ability to block out distractions have been key factors in his success.

The 2025 British Open is set to be a highly competitive tournament, with Scheffler leading a strong field of contenders. His performance will be closely watched, but it is clear that he remains focused on his own game, undistracted by the weight of being the favorite.
