RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Supreme Court announced on Saturday that Sunday would be the last day of Ramadan, meaning Eid Al-Fitr would begin on Monday May 2.
According to the Haramain Sharifain Twitter account, the Shawwal moon was not sighted on Saturday, meaning the final day of the month of Ramadan would be on May 1.
The world’s Muslims have been celebrating the first Ramadan largely free from restrictions since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic.
