Dubai Lynx, MCN launch regional program to lift women into creative leadership

The Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity, in partnership with the Middle East Communication Network (MCN), has launched the regional program "See It Be It Connects: MENA" as of April 2026. This initiative is a dedicated effort to accelerate women into creative leadership roles within the marketing, media, and advertising industries across the Middle East and North Africa.

Here are the key details of this regional launch:

1. Mission and Objectives

The program is the regional chapter of the global "See It Be It" initiative originally founded by Cannes Lions in 2014. It addresses the gender gap in top-tier creative positions by focusing on three professional pillars:

  • Confidence: Overcoming "imposter syndrome" and owning leadership.

  • Resilience & Adaptability: Navigating the fast-changing regional landscape.

  • Negotiation: Mastering the skills needed for career advancement.

2. Event Timeline

  • Application Deadline: September 9, 2026.

  • Event Date: October 7, 2026 (during the Dubai Lynx Creativity Week).

  • Location: In5 Tech, Dubai Media City.

3. Who Should Apply?

The program is tailored for women who:

  • Have at least 5 years of experience in creative, marketing, or communication sectors.

  • Are currently in mid-to-senior levels and aiming for executive leadership (e.g., Creative Director roles).

  • Are based in the MENA region or can travel to Dubai for the session.

4. Why This Matters

Data from the global program shows that 75% of participants receive a promotion within 12 months, and 63% currently hold Creative Director positions or higher. By bringing this to the MENA region, MCN and Dubai Lynx aim to ensure that local female talent has access to the same high-level mentorship and networking as their global peers.

5. Notable Partners

The program is supported by a powerhouse of industry leaders, including Unilever, Nestlé, Emirates, Snap Inc., and the Advertising Business Group (ABG).
