Tottenham and Lazio stay perfect in Europa League with second straight wins


 Tottenham Hotspur maintained their perfect record in the Europa League with a 2-1 away victory against Ferencváros. Pape Sarr opened the scoring for Spurs in the first half, taking advantage of a loose ball in the box and netting his second goal of the competition. Late in the match, substitute Brennan Johnson added a second with a strike off the far post, marking his fifth goal in five games across all competitions. Ferencváros pulled one back through Parnabas Varga in the dying moments.

In another match, Lazio secured a convincing 4-1 victory against Nice at the Stadio Olimpico. Taty Castellano was the standout performer, scoring twice, including a lob over the goalkeeper for the second goal. Lazio captain Mattia Zaccagni capped off the win with a penalty.

Other notable results included a 1-1 draw between Slavia Prague and Ajax, where Tomáš Chorý equalized for Slavia after Branco van den Boomen’s early penalty gave Ajax the lead. Anderlecht came from behind to defeat Real Sociedad 2-1, while Olympiacos triumphed 3-0 over Braga, with Ayoub El Kaabi scoring twice.

In the UEFA Conference League, Cercle Brugge dominated St. Gallen with a 6-2 victory, featuring a hat trick from Kevin Denkey. Omonoia beat Vikingur Reykjavík 4-0, and Legia Warsaw edged Real Betis 1-0. Scottish side Hearts also enjoyed success, defeating Dinamo Minsk 2-1 in Azerbaijan.

UEFA has banned Russian clubs from its competitions due to the ongoing conflict in Ukraine, while Belarusian teams continue to participate, provided their matches are held outside Belarus without spectators.
